Tapis Corporation is committed to developing innovative products for aircraft interiors that set a new standard for sustainability. Tapis strives to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of air travel through cleaner manufacturing processes, utilization of recycled and plant-based materials, longer product life, and weight savings in its seat and vertical surface coverings.

Facilities

Tapis’ 38,000-square-foot Dallas complex is dedicated to flame-treatment, quality control, and aviation testing services. This facility also allows Tapis to stock an extensive inventory of high performance fabrics to enable rapid fulfillment of orders.

Products:

TapiSuede™:

Pliable, inherently stain resistant, washable, and spot cleanable. In short, TapiSuede™ is ready to stand up to the rigors of air travel. Made of 100% high-purity recycled polyester via high-tech manufacturing techniques makes this quality fabric also an eco-friendly choice. 

Ultrasuede®

This supple, non-woven, luxury fabric is made of fine micro fibers intermingled to ensure that it is pliable, stain resistant, machine washable, and spot cleanable. The exclusive technology used to produce Ultrasuede® features easy use, easy care and exceptional durability.

Ultrafabrics®:

Ultrafabrics® is a premium portfolio of polyurethane high-performance fabrics, ideally suited for aircraft settings that require the look and feel of leather, but need a more durable and practical alternative. PVC free and designed for longevity, Ultraleather is ideal for a variety of uses including high wear applications, while offering a soft and supple hand.

Grospoint

These 100% wool face fabrics ensure durability while offering a high quality textile for aircraft interiors.

Carpet:

When Tapis opened its doors in 1977, carpet was our primary product offering. In addition to Sahara and Tretford utility carpets, we offer 4 luxurious carpet collections: Elegance, Elevate, Essence, and Evolution.

Wovens:

Our Wovens coordinate seamlessly with other Tapis products, yet provide differentiation from other luxury jet interiors. Take a departure from the basics expected in an aviation setting and upgrade the ambiance and comfort with the Tapis Woven Collection.

Through our partnership with The Leather Institute, Tapis offers Cleaning Kits for Ultraleather, Ultrasuede and TapiSuede.
